Sisters Chasah West and Charliese West are a filmmaking/screenwriting duo who grew up in South Africa, Zambia, and the USA. They also co-own Set West LLC, a storytelling production and consulting company. Chasah and Charliese were in the 2023 Cohort of New Orleans Film Society's Emerging Voices Directors Lab. Their genre stories—led by characters of color with complex family relationships—have also placed in a handful of screenwriting contests and film festivals. The list includes San Diego French Film Festival (Honorable Mention, 2024), Louisiana State University’s Take X Film Festival (Best Alumni Film, 2024), Phoenix Film Festival (finalist, 2022), Austin Film Festival (2nd Rounder, 2021), ScreenCraft's Action & Adventure Screenplay Competition (Semifinalist, 2021), New Orleans Film Festival Louisiana Screenplay (Top 5, 2019), and Louisiana International Film Festival Screenplay Competition (Finalist, 2019).
