Robin G

Robin G is a spoken word artist, published poet, host & keynote speaker. She utilizes her passion for poetry & spoken word to uplift, encourage and ignite her audience. Inspired by own adversities and triumphs, she is best known for her raw, transparent and uncensored narrative in regards to women and their struggle with loving, living and maintaining their own identity. She has been recognized for her renowned spoken word pieces, "Unwrapped", "Because I am a Woman" & "Unkept." Robin G spends most her time & talents creating platforms for other artists by organizing different open mic opportunities within the community in partnership with locally owned venues. She facilitates original workshops inspired by her written pieces that encourage both creative writing & positive self reflection with children & adults within the JCPS school system, the Louisville Free Public Library & The Boys & Girls Clubs. In 2018, Robin G was nominated for two Kentucky Urban Entertainment Awards being recognized for her hard work and grind in the urban community and for her featured poem on recording artist Mr. Nova’s newly released album, "No Filter". In 2019, Robin G advocated for the “Spoken Word Artist of the Year” category to be added to the official ballot of the KUE Awards & became the awards 1st recipient. She is a 2020 Southern Entertainment Award nominee for Best Spoken Word Poet.
