Ehren Reed relocated to Louisville, KY in late 2013 after 14 years as a professional artist and arts educator in San Francisco, CA. A native of Naperville, IL, she graduated from Kenyon College with a BA in International Studies and later attended the California College of the Arts, earning a BFA in Painting & Drawing.
An active fiber artist, arts educator, and arts advocate, she has found a home in Louisville's thriving arts community. While teaching with various local arts organizations, Reed also maintains a vigorous studio practice. Her primary medium is machine embroidery. Her current work employs and explores found imagery as she blends together traditional craft and contemporary media in an investigation of memory, recollection, and documentation in a digital era.
