Zoe Vandermeer (www.zoevandermeer.net) is a dramatic coloratura soprano, harpist (www.sopranoandharp.com) and composer. She sings classical, baroque, and contemporary music, gives performances with her Welsh triple harp and Celtic harp, and has composed for orchestra, singers, and ensembles. Ms. Vandermeer toured her original baroque pastiche one woman opera in California, NY, Scotland and Spain. Her original operatic musical has been compared to Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, Secret Garden, and Harry Potter.
Ms. Vandermeer was named to the Roster of the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism in 2011, is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and has performed internationally. She enjoyed her Carnegie Hall debut in 2014 as First Place Winner of the B. Alexander International Vocal Competition and has been a recipient of numerous prizes, scholarships and awards. Venues in which she has performed include the Connecticut Early Music Festival, Rio International Harp Festival Brasil, Glasgow International Early Music Festival, International Festival de Deia Spain, American Harp Society, Somerset International Harp Festival, and elsewhere.
