Using music to promote freedom is so important to me. I sing about and talk about combating oppression. I am a queer, non-binary artist increasing visibility in an industry still dominated by straight men. Using my microphone and melody to address uncomfortable realities is my purpose. I have been a working musician since I was 20 years old, almost 15 years. I have a monthly series at the Hotel Peter and Paul in New Orleans that features women and non-binary musicians.
