Zena Moses, a born and raised New Orleanian, have a wide range and unrestraint for creativity. Showing a New Orleans natural rawness with soulful ballets to swoon you, funky dance music to make your body move and a presence in keeping the audience captivated with a versatility consisting of Funk, Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop and R&B. Zena Moses have performed with bands, such as, Charmaine Neville and Friends, Soul Project, Gene’s Music Machine, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, The Shelby Brass Band, Brassaholics, Higher Heights and The 4x4Connection Band, just to name a few. She created her own band, Rue Fiya, in April of 2007. In 2018, the Fiya All-Stars was formed, consisting of great musicians from around the world.
Zena Moses have performed at historic venues like the Union Train Station at 2016 River Jam Festival in Montgomery, Ala., The Historic 100 Men's Hall in Bay St.Louis, Alexandria, La. Mayor's Inauguration Ball, 4th of July on the River, 2013 & 2015 Soul Festival, WWOZ Pledge Drives, 2013 and 2017 New Orleans Jazz Festival, Gentilly Festival and Portland’s Water Front Blues Festival, every Monday Night at 30/90 and Tuesdays at Maison on Frenchmen St. as well as weddings and other events.
The Fiya All-Stars, for the 50th New Orleans Jazz Festival, is featuring Gene’s Music Machine Band, a special group of musicians. Eugene Harding (drums), Whitney Alouisious (vocals), Jake Gold (keys), Matt Clark (guitar), Jeremy Phipps (trombone), West Anderson IV (Tuba), Yuko “Lady Butterfly” Kido (harmonica) and Zena Moses (vocals).
