Wesley Touchstone

Inspired by nature, Wesley developed a deep appreciation of organic forms and began sculpting at an early age. As he grew, so did his art, and he was soon sculpting in foam and clay to produce wildlife castings for the family business. The loss of his son in 1989, set in motion new artistic development and growth. Sculpture as “self-therapy” brought about several new pieces, including his first portrait bust, “Matthew”. Carving large props for the film industry further expanded his skills with new materials, techniques, and tools. He enjoys sculpting and carving in many materials from marble to foam, and bronze castings. Recently he has been working on some public art landing in Florida. He looks forward to preserving special moments with each new sculpture and learning a little along the way.
