Hello! My name is Alyssa. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics from the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2015. I run my own at-home pottery studio, Wild Phlox Pottery, where I produce my pieces. Living in the bayou state most of my life has inspired in me a fascination with entomology and botany. My work is influenced by the incredible diversity of Louisiana's ecosystem and the ways we coexist with this vibrant flora and fauna. I teach art and pottery workshops for children ages 5 & up and adults on request. (I bring the fun, but you must provide the location. Contact me for details.)
I’m also the Community Development Coordinator for the Arts Council of Central Louisiana where I get to work closely with my community and inspire others with the power of art!
