Music—In 2025, Set West released a concept album funded by Nile Rodgers’ We Are Family Foundation entitled ‘Swell’. The album features 11 songs from the in-the-works musical created by the sisters. |
Film—Chasah and Charliese are alums of the New Orleans Film Society's Emerging Voices Directors Lab. Their stories have placed in a handful of screenwriting contests and film festivals. The list includes Festival International Du Film PanAfricain De Cannes (Dikalo Award Finalist), Boston International Kids Festival (Official Selection), San Diego French Film Festival (Honorable Mention, 2024), Louisiana State University’s Take X Film Festival (Best Alumni Film, 2024), Phoenix Film Festival (finalist, 2022), Austin Film Festival (2nd Rounder, 2021), and New Orleans Film Festival Louisiana Screenplay (Top 5, 2019). |
Personal Background—The sisters were raised abroad in South Africa and Zambia before returning to the USA, their home country, for university where they both obtained Masters of Science degrees in Communication at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
