Veni is a multi-disciplinary creative who has worked as a graphic designer, photographer, art director, educator, writer, and environmental advocate. She completed an MFA in graphic design from Louisiana State University and a Fellowship in environmental communications from Loyola and maintains an endless curiosity in regional history, cultural anthropology, and the natural world. Harlan’s Gulf Coast roots are reflected in her work which has been recognized in the fields of graphic design, fine art, conservation, cultural documentation, photography, and disaster preparedness. Her current focus centers on southern cultural anthropology expressed via photography and storytelling.
