I am a musician, actor, singer, and photographer based in the Greater Hartford area. I sang with award-winning CONNECT A Capella (fka Hartford Wailers) from 2014-2017. My long-term bands have included Orders, Lil Sluggers, Baka Fana, Sarah Rose, and Portrait Party. I also love collaborating for short-term studio/live projects as well; Klokwize, Feed the Need, So Sorry, and Private Language. My newest art form, photography, is a result of the pandemic. My first and continuing project, "she reclaims herself," is a growing body of work that examines the gendered power dynamic between industry and nature. When the world shut down in March 2020, we saw the immediate effects: clear roads, better air quality, more frequent animal sightings. As a result, this power dynamic became more pronounced. Manicured lawns gave way to weeds, infrastructure rusted over, and once-full lots and parking lots made way for a once-rare sense of stillness and quietude. My photography tends to focus on the dichotomy of absence/presence, industry vs. nature, depth of field, and natural light. I have also begun to take promotional photos for bands and will soon offer similar services to culinary businesses.
