Tracy Lea Carnes

I am a published author, screenwriter, and award winning playwright. My first book, EXCESS BAGGAGE, was a 2010 alternate book club pick for the Pulpwood Queens Book Club where I appeared at their annual Girlfriend Weekend as a featured author. In addition, I have a TV series pilot about a woman as the fly on the wall of a men’s rugby club which is shopping Hollywood and written with my co-writer, David Paterson, who had the hit 2005 Sundance Film LOVE, LUDLOW and also wrote and produced the film adaptation of BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA, his mother’s beloved novel. I was also a part of the first year of PROJECT GREENLIGHT as a semi-finalist in one of their contests as well as an award-winning playwright. My stage play CASSEROLE GIRLS has had a staged reading at the Shreveport Little Theater and is being considered as an adaptation for an indie film.
