Since playing his first show in Providence, RI in 2009, Tom Burgess has created a diverse acoustic sound that can be enjoyed by any fan of live music. Putting his own twist on popular music and originals, Tom layers his live shows with guitar, lead guitar, harmonica, percussion, and vocals.
Digging deep into the music of the 50's, 60's, and 70's, Tom is influenced by the talents of Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Tom Petty, The Allman Brothers, The Band, The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Santana and the Beatles. From the 80's on, Tom draws his influences from Dire Straits, Hall and Oates, Oasis, and the Verve. Today, Tom is influenced by newer acts like Nathaniel Rateliff, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, Ryan Bingham, Phish, Goose, and the Steeldrivers.
By 2014, Tom was playing 220 shows a year from upstate New York, to sunny Florida. As of today, Tom can pull music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's - Today, to create a performance that has something for everyone.
