My artwork is all about my hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. I make quick sketches to document the colors, music, and energy of the next great city of the South. I tend to avoid the more trite symbols associated with our state (magnolias, swamps, fleur de lis, football, etc.) to create work that more accurately reflects our unique Southern culture. Recently, I've been dabbling in printmaking. It is becoming one of my favorite media- mainly because I can make a bunch of them and sell them for a low price.
