Syd Prochaska is a visual and performing artist from New Orleans, LA. She received her B.A. in Theatre from Louisiana State University and her M.A. in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans. She works with acrylic, colored pencil, embroidery, and movement. Her work focuses on healing and empowering others. "Like many women, I’ve lived with disordered eating most of my life. Drawing myself is a therapeutic way of seeing my body as an extension of my soul- enough. Our bodies are not a representation of our worth- but rather a shell for our souls that are worthy of love, light, and abundance. The art I create serves the purpose of connecting what I know on the inside to the outside. I’m working to empower others to know they are enough- in all shapes, forms, and colors. My brand is to show our bodies in all forms are works of art and we are all enough because when our soul is living it’s purpose, everything else falls into place."
