Dylan Sanders

Dylan Sanders is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in ceramics, collage, and textiles, often combining these forms to explore themes of identity, memory, and personal narrative. Based in Ruston, Louisiana, Sanders' work is grounded in introspection and a desire to understand the layers that make up the self—both seen and unseen. While his art practice is hands-on and material-driven, it’s also informed by a deep belief in the transformative power of creative expression. Beyond the studio, Dylan is an active leader in the North Louisiana arts community. He serves as the Director of the Gilbert Center, Associate Director of the Ross Lynn Charitable Foundation, and Co-Owner of Creative Exchange, an art and architecture supply store that serves as a hub for local makers. He is the Chairman of the Ruston Cultural District Board, a Board Member of the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, and a Market Coordinator for the Louisiana Peach Festival. Through his work and leadership, Dylan advocates for a more inclusive and accessible arts ecosystem. He believes that the arts are not a luxury, but a basic human service—one that should be within reach for every individual regardless of background.
