Artist Statement: There is no grand statement about my art. As I wander through life, art seems to find me along the way. In serendipitous moments it draws me in with inspiration and discovery, yet all too soon it evaporates, and I am left wondering how any of it happened in the first place. Both with music and visual art, I simply incline to whatever sounds or looks good. Particularly with music, it is readily apparent to me what does not sound good, and that spurs a drive within me to fix it. The art may be chaotic or composed, hopeful or morose, organic or mechanical - whatever evokes that genuine spark within me is what I am after. I have a reputation of not taking myself or my art too seriously, which can be beneficial. However, I hope to refine my artistic vision further, define what that spark really is, and know how best to use it.
