It started as a hobby that got out of hand ... once I had exhausted my supply of teacher gifts and coming from a family with few women to gift, I needed to branch out and market my ponchette creations and shrugs in order to feed my yarn habit. Having lived in Switzerland for 15 years, where knitting was a given and interesting yarns were abundant, I developed a knack for going off-script and creating interesting pieces in the natural fibers from Swiss sheep. Although I am drawn to nature's fibers and colors, after returning to the US, I find I cannot resist a hot pink poncho and the lure of a metallic thread!
