Growing up in Israel Or Shovaly was exposed to all kinds of music from all over the world - Middle Eastern, American,European African and more. The love he developed for those different styles, music that moves you and especially improvisation led him to seek a career in Jazz. Later he moved to New Orleans to study at the UNO Jazz program. Since his arrival to the city, Or has been playing with the local Afro-Beat Band Kumasi while working on his own project arranging Jazz standards and originals with grooves and sounds from different places in the world.
