In my writing, I feel able to converse and denudate my thoughts with my readers. Every time I write, I am inviting my audience to see my mind for how it is and encourage subjects of my interviews to feel free to do the same. Vulnerability, creation, community, and culture are encompassed in the works of my labor, as I muse about the city of Lafayette, Louisiana. Enveloping the influence of a Cajun hum, yet embracing the wave of new-school perspectives, I write about a city of: metal music and zydeco; horror film festivals and skateboarders; young entrepreneurs and queer artists. I tend to favor a more stream-of-conscious flow in my craft, but as a writer, I do my best to master all areas of the medium. Drawing from philosophical theories and genuine curiosity, I write about what I know and learn to write about what I don't.
