LaQuay Frazier began a path in music early in life. His mother and grandmother were prominent gospel singers and raised him in a religious household. After graduation from high school attended Music school at the University of New Orleans on a full scholarship. While there he began performing professionally with Delfayeo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra as a saxophonist. After 4 years he graduated college with a music studies degree. During the time he started his own band called Street Legendz Brass Band which performed regularly of Frenchmen Street in New Orleans and became a staple. He was also an on-call Saxophonist and began performing with Blue artist Juju Child. Corey Henry and the Treme Funktet became his main band. He has performed at the Toronto Beaches Jazz Festival, The Brooklyn Bowl, the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Tipitinas, Vaughan Lounge and the Blue Nile. LaQuay has performed with such artists as Cyril Neville, Lil Wayne, Corey Henry, and Soul Brass Band.
