Patricia Ronkartz Visual Artist, Writer Patricia Ronkartz is an educator, artist and writer in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. She holds bachelors of fine arts degrees in commercial art and art education from Mississippi University for Women and a masters degree in gifted education from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She worked briefly as a commercial artist before deciding to share her love for art by helping others to develop their talents and became an educator. She has been an teacher of gifted enrichment and talented visual arts in Acadia Parish for over 30 years and teaches a variety of art techniques and poetry through the Crowley Art Association Gallery where she serves as a member of the board of directors and a volunteer. Her art practice includes a multimedium approach and is influenced by the likes of van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse, and Dali as well as the works of indigenous people around the world, folk art, regional artist and life experiences. She has an intense desire to share her love or art, self- expression and creating through her work.
