Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Heritage Museum

 Arts and Cultural Museum

Opening its doors in 1994, the current location of the Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Heritage Museum consists of 14,840 sq ft. and is located on 26 beautiful acres of land, with peaceful biking trails and meditative walking paths for visitors to enjoy. The museum houses Louisiana’s largest and most significant collection of work, by world renowned expressionist artist and Northeast Louisiana native, Don Cincone. His paintings, with their brilliant hues and sympathetic subjects, are both evocative and tender. In addition to the work of Don Cincone, the museum also exhibits talented regional artists and hundreds of artifacts from African American life in Northeast Louisiana throughout the centuries. The museum has tour guides and a gift shop that offers unique gifts and a wide book selection for adults and children. Museum and gift shop operating hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 4pm and Saturday, 10am to 2pm. Admission is $5 for adults 18 and over, and $3 for children, students, and senior citizens.
