The Nguyen Johnson Company

THE NGUYEN JOHNSON COMPANY is the cross-cultural collaborative team of Jeremiah Johnson and Duyen Nguyen. Together they synthesize material from fashion, pop culture, folklore, and mysticism making multi-layered maximalist paintings, drawings and prints. JEREMIAH JOHNSON is a visionary artist raised on a fruit and flower farm in North Central Pennsylvania. He received his BFA from Tyler School of Art of Temple University and his MFA in print, paper and book arts from Syracuse University. Johnson’s work is included in several collections both nationally and internationally including the State Museum of Pennsylvania, the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke Virginia and the Servais Collection in Brussels Belgium. Johnson is the Director of a makerspace at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux Louisiana. DUYEN NGUYEN is an ambitious visionary artist and clothing designer raised on a commune in Vung Tau Province, Vietnam. Duyen spent her childhood drawing and hand sewing at night. Nguyen’s work is worn and featured in several private collections throughout the United States. She has created over 900 artworks, clothing designs and collaborative paintings with her husband since she moved to the United States in 2016.
