My artistic background is in metalworking, sculpture, and environmental design. Through the years, I have learned to incorporate these approaches into my eco- installations and sculptures. I find that objects in the natural world inform my intuitive art-making process. I have adopted an ephemeral philosophy, playing with the interconnection of nostalgic objects and textures that evoke a sense of place. The act of gathering materials and exploring the natural world, looking for inspiration, is very meditative. The geographical location of these objects are important and play an integral part in my work. I am interested in the visual impact and creative imprint that I can leave with the viewer.
