I'm an African American artist based in Shreveport, LA. My path as a painter started when all I had was creativity. The only thing I could afford. I began my journey as a painter. While growing up in Shreveport, LA, I had an early interest in painting. at my high school art show at the Barnwell Garden Art Center. There, I received an Honorable Mention. for a piece I created using cardboard as a my canvas, chicken feathers as my paintbrushes, and some leftover paint, that was my first true experience. Following this, I became unquestionably passionate about painting after this event. I felt that this was my destiny. to become a painter.
