Marcel Paige is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and audio engineer from Philadelphia, PA. When he moved to Avon, CT in his teens, Marcel searched for the soulful sounds he grew up with from Philadelphia, and traveled to Hartford to find it. Going on to study jazz saxophone at the Artists Collective and Hartt Community Division in High School, Marcel gained a strong foundation to further pursue his studies at the collegiate level at Western Connecticut State University personally with the Grammy Award Winning Connecticut Native, Dr. Jimmy Greene. Now, Marcel performs professionally in many different bands across New England, including his very own 9-piece soul/funk group The Soul Factory out of New London, CT. Marcel aims to present a collection of Black American Music spanning various eras and multiple genres with his quartet of the best musicians from Connecticut and Boston.
