Lydia Young-Green, a captivating force hailing from the vibrant landscapes of Acadiana, transcends the boundaries of dance as an extraordinary performer, dedicated teacher, and innovative choreographer. Her journey, rooted in the rhythmic heartbeat of Louisiana, blossomed at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she not only earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts but also left an indelible mark on the stage as both a student performer and, notably, a returning guest choreographer. Fast forward to the present, Lydia is on the brink of an exciting milestone—about to graduate with a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography from Wilson College. Her choreographic works, profound explorations into the human condition, showcase an artistic depth that has evolved through an intricate, inquiry-driven process. Lydia's journey also includes a transformative stint at the Horton Teacher Workshop, a testament to her commitment to mastering her craft, and certification in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), embodying her multifaceted expertise. Beyond the stage, Lydia's impact resonates through her dynamic roles as an Adjunct Professor at UL-Lafayette, where she ignites passion in ballet, modern, and hip-hop dance.
