James Marks

For more than 40 years, sculptor James Marks has been twisting and bending wire to make images, usually in the form of human figures. In 2022, the National Endowment for the Arts funded his innovative project “You as a Wire Hero.” Marks has been teaching the art of wire sculpture for 20 years throughout the community and at the Renzi Education and Art Center. He currently has the sculpture— "Oscar Joseph"—in the permanent collection of the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. It can be seen in the 2nd floor lobby of Central ARTSTATION.
