Lindsey Jones Simpson is a freelance professional artist with extensive experience in curation, installation, and exhibition coordination. Simpson works primarily in graphic design and illustration, acrylic paint and mixed media drawings, depicting ethereal and natural subjects in an illustrative, pop-art style. Simpson is native to Northwest Louisiana. After obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Louisiana Tech, Simpson joined the team of the Shreveport Regional Arts Council to nurture and improve the arts community where she grew up, and to use her skills in curation, installation, and fine art techniques to aid other artists in their professional careers. In 2020, she chose to pursue her own career path as a freelance artist, and in 2021, established Capsule Curatorial as an independent exhibition manager/curator. Her passion continues to be rooted in improving and nurturing the arts community in Shreveport.
