As a former high school art teacher from Lafayette, La, I am excited to now be focusing on my career as an artist. As a child, I grew up in the country playing outdoors and living in a world where imagination and creativity were encouraged. That environment allowed me to see the world differently than most, and I use those experiences when working. My focus as an artist is to create mixed media and encaustic paintings that inspire people. Creating is such an amazingly unique experience.  I work wholeheartedly with my mind open and spirit free to allow every emotion to make its way from my soul to the canvas. For me, art has always felt like play. I experience excitement and fulfillment with every piece I create. I find it so beautiful, that while I pour my own heart and emotions into every canvas, the person seeing it has their own unique encounter. Like two strangers having a deep conversation without ever saying a word.
