My artwork explores the intersection of energy, mystery, and the material. Memories and the present moment exist in layers that are informed by nature, ritual, and the intuitive. In addition to my paintings and other mixed media artworks, a new series of works is in progress. "Notes to myself/ notes to my grandchildren", is made from textiles used and created by members of my family and myself, along with found objects, found fabrics , painting, and embroidery. I have always been attracted to textiles as being infused with consciousness and history. I feel as though I am encoding these artworks with stories of my perceptions, as well as the spirit and storiesĀ of those who came before me.
