I bought a guitar for $20 from a pawn shop when I was 18, while in rehab. The counselor taught me, "House of the Rising Sun", and after that I wrote my own songs. Living both in New York and Southern California furthered my content via experiences, and my validity and emotions have found their way to my guitar. I'm lucky! In early 2017, a group of musicians became The Joanitones, and we've been at it ever since. The three musicians I play with are Steve Benton, Oggy Martin, and Kenneth Brackeen.
