Bio: I am 22 years old. I am from Windsor, Connecticut. I recently graduated from University of Hartford with my Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree. Since I was in the 2nd grade I have been drawing, it became a hobby. But in high school is when I realized art is something that I wanted to take serious, I wanted to make art a career. When I first started, I strictly drew. I was not open to working with other mediums but going to college is where I fell in love with oil painting that I decided to major in it. A lot of my recent works capture the island Jamaica. Jamaica is a second home to me being that I come from a Jamaican household and have been traveling to Jamaica since the age of 9. I was captivated by the nature, the environment that I made paintings so others can see the beauty that I see as well. Although landscapes of Jamaica have been my recent bodies of work, I do not limit myself to just those. I enjoy painting and drawing portraits. I don’t try to keep myself boxed off or labeled as just a landscape painter. I also design tattoos for myself and others and sometimes logos. I always enjoy doing drawings once in a while because it reminds me of when I first fell in love with art and reminds me why I keep going.
