ibenaGod uses artistic expression to illuminate a path where Black men can express themselves positively, empowering themselves and enriching their communities. Drawing from personal experiences spanning my childhood to adulthood, my artistic endeavors encapsulate the notion that Black men can convey their emotions constructively, thereby fostering an understanding of the nuanced realities often overlooked in mainstream narratives, particularly those concerning life in Saint Louis beyond sensational headlines. My artistic practice uniquely integrates music, poetry, comedy, and candid dialogue to authentically reflect the diverse emotional landscape experienced by many Black men. As the Expert of Black Male Expression, I advocate for #1 Healing vibes globally, emphasizing that when Black men are afforded avenues for artistic expression, it mitigates the manifestation of toxicity such as dysfunction and violence within our communities. This proactive approach cultivates an environment where positive self-expression not only becomes feasible but is paramount to communal well-being.
