garrett Carlson is a self-taught artist currently living in rural Union Parish. His work is featured on multiple library boxes across the parish. In 2023 he designed the artwork for the 7th Annual River Rat Paddle Challenge, and in 2024 he designed the artwork for Turtle Bay Landing: a fully handicap accessible launch and interpretive paddle trail on Lake D’Arbonne. In 2025 his art was selected for the Rocky Branch Community Center T-shirt design. He has exhibited in juried group shows including “Dark Brilliance” and “Changing Seasons” at Creative Exchange in Ruston, LA and “New Frontiers” at Courtyard Gallery in West Monroe, LA.
