New Orleans-based Father Ron and Friends are a Louisiana-folk band, and
champions of The Great American Songbook, channeling their influences
in folk, rock, blues, jazz, Cajun, zydeco and funk. Guided by the the life and
music of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie and other 20th century greats, this
diverse group lend their voices to create their own niche to this style of
traditional American music.
With several Global Music Awards under their belt, Father Ron and Friends
have performed at many venues in Louisiana including Buffa's, and
designed their Porch Concert Series as a way to bring community together
through the power of music.
The Great American Singalong has gathered energy as many have been
reunited with these great songs while introducing a new generation to
what some consider the heart of the American soul of the 20th century.
Bringing together original and traditional songs by some of the best of folk
music, The Great American Singalong celebrates the life of the American
experience.
