My art is a hand painted love letter to the South. It is inspired by my family, friends and the great state of Louisiana. Through my art, I want to pay homage to the unique spirit of the places I’ve always called home. Everything is personally hand illustrated using watercolor and pencil or hand built in clay. Everything always starts out as a sketch on paper. I try to always include the well known symbols of the South such as magnolias, Mardi Gras and oysters just to name a few. I hand paint, glaze and fire all the pieces in my home studio in Shreveport. I believe that your foundation tells you where you begin, but not where you will end up. I believe that class, whimsy and a touch of charm never go out of style. I believe your love of the South defines you as much as your monogram and signature cocktail. I believe there is something to be said for a handwritten note and original artwork gracing your wall. These should not be a part of the past but always in the present.
