A graduate of Baylor University, Elizabeth studied Fashion Design and received a degree in Family and Consumer Science Education. She recently retired from teaching at a Bossier Parish high school where she taught for 22 years. She has lived in the Shreveport area since 1991, and currently resides in Greenwood, Louisiana with her husband, Joe, and their rescue dogs. Elizabeth has had a lifelong interest in art, and is now enjoying retirement and the time it affords to dedicate to painting. Her paintings incorporate traditional subjects like landscapes, people and pets, but are not bound to photorealism. Her favorite compositional device utilizes the Rückenfigur style, which involves painting a figure from the back who is contemplating the view ahead of them.
