Through my work, I explore themes of identity, grief, and hope through the prism of the queer experience. Growing up in the South, I often felt like an outsider in a world that didn't quite understand me. Books were my companions, providing me with comfort, connection, and escape. As I began to weave my own stories, I discovered they were a door to the magic that lives inside each of us—alchemical tools to transform and transcend.
Now, I write for the little boy who once hid under the bed, reading books by flashlight, wishing he could enter the pages of his favorite stories. I create what I wish I had when I was that boy, stories that would offer hope and wonder to an otherwise solitary existence. I seek to inspire others to find their own forms of expression and, in turn, a sense of belonging.
My art is a tribute to the queer experience, an invitation to connect, heal, and embrace the magic that emerges from our fragility. I aim to highlight the common threads that bind us all, the shared moments of longing, discovery, and transformation.
