Clay from the depths of the earth shapes my thoughts and imagination into sometimes functional and sometimes whimsy sculptured art pieces. I allow the clay to "speak" to me as I create unique pieces usually based on nature with a little twist. One medium does not satisfy the artist in me. I also love to photograph wildlife and birds along with the beauty of Louisiana's scenic byways and bayous. Another medium I dabble in is oil and acrylic painting. I have won numerous awards in each medium and enjoy the creative process. When I'm not dabbling in art, I'm writing poetry to give my thoughts a voice. I am considered a life poet and write particularly with current events in mind. My art tends to express my desire to preserve our natural habitat and environment for both humans and God's creatures.
