I am an inveterate storyteller and a self-taught artist. Sometimes, I write and draw in my very own genre of (6). Short and sweet, my compositions are made up of vertical and horizontal lines (ala Piet Mondrian), to which I add simple Icons to tell a six-word story (ala Ernest Hemingway). At first, I painted (6)'s the old fashioned way, with a brush. But now, after years of experimentation, I combine house paint, laser cut plywood, and various mediums on watercolor paper for (6)'s that are textured, vibrant, and unique. Words and images in the conception. Lines and colors in the execution. Makes me happy.
