My art is born of equal parts inspiration, representation, imagination and whimsy. In my professional life as a physical therapist I deal in objective data and measurable outcomes. As much as I love this work, I find myself drawn to the possibilities of letting go. Picking up a paintbrush last year, I had no idea of what I was doing and even less of a clue as to where it would lead. I started with painting what I saw in nature, then I began planting wildly imagined gardens in my head and started putting that on canvas. That balance between the rational and the random Is where I find my joy.
