Artist Statement on Jewelry and Design Whether it’s your grandmother’s broach or a rhinestone hairpin, that accessory makes it perfect and complete. Whether it’s the pearls he gave you the Christmas before the engagement or the something blue gave to you on your wedding day, when you look at those accessories years later it gives the same rush. It’s these meaningful tokens that have the power to make you blush and guide you down memory lane. No matter what the current market value is, some items never lose their value. That priceless artifact for some is JEWELRY. For me, Jewelry is the big thing in the small package. Jewelry is the icing on the cake. Jewelry is the finishing touch to a perfectly planned night. And the best part….You never have to worry about the size. I strive to design pieces that are timeless and versatile. I take pride in the pieces being comfortable because I want every piece I design to be your favorite piece. My designs range from clean and simple to extravagate and gaudy; whether pearls, hand painted glass beads, silk strings or wood, each one is uniquely perfect in its own way. I can find inspiration in almost anything I see anywhere. And GOD confirms it when I am unsure. Over the years, conversations, playgrounds, museums, flowers, floor tile have all inspired my work. It is the play and movement of colors or the stillness or noise of a pattern that make the artist within me tick, and there are always new ideas waiting to be designed and laid out. I love each stage of the design process. I personally hand make each of my pieces with great attention to detail and the intention of offering a personal touch that each consumer desires. There is something about taking a pile of beads or a strand of pearls and creating something magical. While others see little round balls, I full designs. Without the right earring, she feels naked, but with the earring, she feels like the prettiest girl in the room. I create all of this with my two hands! At the end of the day, each design makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something so great and so marvelous that it provides motivation and inspiration to conquer the next day. I feel rewarded when I design a piece that my client says is the perfect addition. To say that I am fortunate to do what I love is an understatement.
