I am a guitarist, composer, arranger, songwriter and music educator from Shreveport, LA. I enjoy creating new music and helping others realize their musical dreams. I earned a Bachelor’s Arts in Music Education from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2005, where I studied Jazz guitar with Hank Mackey, classical guitar with Patrick Kerber. I spent five years teaching elementary, middle, and high school music and band in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, and I presently teach music for the Talented Arts Program in Caddo Parish, as well as teaching Beginning and Advanced Guitar classes at Caddo Magnet High School. In addition, I also teach applied guitar at Centenary College of Louisiana. My students have performed at ArtBreak, and other community events, and several of my students have won the ArtBreak Composition Contest. A number of my students have been selected to play in All-Parish Honor Bands and have received scholarships to attend colleges such as the Berklee School of Music, Belmont University, and Middle Tennessee State University.
