Camille Gladney was born and raised in northwest Louisiana in the small town of Homer where making fun out of nothing and creating one's own opportunities are essential life skills. Camille dived into the performing arts from an early age; first through church choirs and school drama clubs, then opera at Centenary College, then through dramatic writing, earning a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Goddard College in 2015. Camille is also skilled in hair and makeup, and worked as a licensed cosmetologist from 2008-2021 before leaving the salon to work in film full time. Camille's film work includes LGBT+ affirming GLORIA (2018), true American immigrant story St. Esther Day (2019), swamp mermaid creature feature ERZULIE (2022) and trans-masculine short The Cut (2022) which debuted at the 2022 Louisiana Film Prize competition.
