Cam Denler is a painter and art curator based in Shreveport, Louisiana. Currently serving as the Art Curator for The Agora Borealis in Downtown Shreveport, they hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Henderson State University. Born in Shreveport in 2000, Cam spent their formative years in Magnolia, Arkansas after moving there in 2012. Growing up in a background shaped by Catholic and Southern Baptist traditions, they began to question societal norms and the moral frameworks that surrounded them. This exploration of identity, belief, and cultural expectation continues to influence their work, which delves into themes of introspection, transformation, and the tension between tradition and self-discovery.
