Callan Thornton

Callan Thornton is a young artist who has grown up in Northeast Louisiana. She has been a student in the Talented Art Program since elementary school.During her senior year, she applied to the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts Scholarship and was awarded the top prize in the senior division. During 2020, Callan entered Savannah College of Art and Design’s Annual Sidewalk Arts Festival and was awarded second place in the high school division. Furthermore, Callan’s artwork was accepted into both the 2021 and 2022 ULM Junior and Senior Juried Art Exhibition. She was awarded the ULM Foundation Award of Merit and the Arts Council of Northeast Louisiana Award for Artistic Skill. Throughout her high school career, she has also received several ribbons in Ouachita Parish’s Talented Art Shows. Callan is a freshman at Louisiana Tech University, and she is majoring in Studio Art.
