Belle Saucier is a writer, comedian, director, producer and actress located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Her background began working with Acting Up in Acadiana, a theater company in Acadiana established in 2005. Classes, camps, and workshops as well as private productions were held at The Acadiana Center for the Arts primarily which is where she was formerly (2022-2024) a Guest Services Associate selling tickets and art for the theater & galleries. Saucier is also interested in music recording production and DJing; Specifically in self-started local music project “Speechfuzz” where she recorded two albums with bandmates and local producers in Acadiana, the first titled “Midnight” (2020), a single titled “River in a Bucket” for short film “Green Gardens” (2021) and lastly their sophomore album titled “Too Stupid” (2022).
In the year 2024, Saucier began working as an actress in “Dusty Trails”; a short film that is aesthetically the marriage of spaghetti western and b-grade horror movie tropes. Philosophically it questions the paradox of having the desire to no longer desire anything… as well as working as a writer-director for her own indie short “MANIACS” intended as an uncommon art house film to be shown in gallery exhibitions as well as stand alone as a mumble-core indie film paying homage to the magic and horror that is becoming a woman as a Catholic-Cajun in Acadiana and falling in love with the Rougarou…while finding herself.
