As a nonbinary artist, my work is a reflection of my identity, and I enjoy playing with the concept of gender through the androgynous figures that make appearances throughout my work. A significant influence on my art is religious imagery. Raised in the Southern Baptist church, I was surrounded by these stories that shaped my perspective of the world. While I no longer identify with the teachings of the church, the imagery and symbolism are still things that I feel drawn to and incorporate into my art. I hope that my work can serve as a bridge, exploring the interplay between spirituality and personal identity.
